| MASFA FORMS A TRAINING COMMITTEE | |
|
The MASFA Board of Directors recently approved the formation of a new committee called the “Engineer Training Committee” and scheduled its first major public event. The new committee is dedicated to the dissemination of information of a more technical nature than the existing Architect Training, Contractor Training and Labor Training has been presenting in various formats for the past four years. Upcoming events. The presentation will be a modified version of the existing architect training seminar that MASFA has performed dozens of times to hundreds of architects in the Mid-Atlantic area over the past four years. It contains many “dos and don’t” for both architects and engineers so that they may produce accurate, economical and complete contract documents utilizing cold-formed steel framing. This presentation is registered with AIA and qualifies as 1.5 hours of continuing education credit. It will also serve as 1 hour of PDH credit toward PE licenses in many states. It is the intention of this committee to hold regular dinner events with different speakers and presentations. Some may be more technical than others. These events are open to anyone, architect, engineer, builder, contractor or just anyone who has an interest in and wishes to learn more about cold-formed steel framing. Keep your eyes on future issues of this newsletter for dates and information about upcoming events. |
