CODE OFFICIAL TRAINING PROGRAM

The Mid-Atlantic Steel Framing Alliance (MASFA), in cooperation with the Steel Framing Alliance (SFA) and the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI), provides these seminars on cold-formed steel framing to building code officials at the local level at no charge to help expedite the plan approval process.

These seminars cover the provisions for cold-formed steel framing that are found in the International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC), released by the International Code Council (ICC).  These provisions were developed by the National Association of Homebuilders and the American Iron and Steel Institute for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Known also as the Prescriptive Method for Residential Cold-Formed Steel Framing, these provisions have been approved by the Council of American Building Officials (CABO) One and Two Family Dwelling Code.

The Prescriptive Method for Residential Cold-Formed Steel Framing is available for purchase on the SFA website, www.SteelFramingAlliance.com , along with other technical material and information.  The IRC may be obtained from any of the model code organizations, BOCA, ICBO, and SBCC.

We offer Continuing Education Credits.  2 Hours.
